"I felt completely fine"

Jamie’s story

At just 14 years old, laya healthcare member Jamie Moran took part in a routine Heartbeat screening, a simple check that made a lasting difference to his life. During the screening, something unexpected was identified. Jamie was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome, a serious congenital heart condition that had previously gone undetected. Because it was caught early, Jamie was able to receive the right care and treatment at the right time. Today, he is stronger, fitter, and back on the football pitch playing the sport he loves.

  • Early detection helped uncover a hidden heart condition.
  • Jamie received timely treatment and specialist care.
  • He is now back to full fitness and playing sport again.
  • A simple screening made a life-changing difference.

You can answer some questions and get a quick quote online. After that, simply purchase your policy for instant cover. No GP visits or reports, no fuss. Then, you have the peace of mind that your family will be cared for, whatever happens.

The length of your policy depends on a few things. If you’re getting Mortgage Protection, your cover lasts at least as long as your mortgage.

The length of your life insurance policy is a little more personal. Think about how long your loved ones need financial protection. Typically, our members take out policies that last until their youngest child turns 25. For that reason, younger members tend to take out longer term policies.

Chat to our experienced Customer Care Team to get a better idea of the best course of action for you.

The cost of your life insurance premium depends on your personal circumstances and the kind of cover you need. Your age, health and if you smoke can affect the cost. How much and how long you want your cover for also impacts on the cost.

Dual life insurance is a policy taken out by two people. Dual life cover is a life insurance policy for two people that pays out twice. Once upon the first death and again upon the second death during the policy term. After that, the policy ends.

You should get a will if you want to make distributing assets easier for your family when you die. It’s also important to know that your estate will be divided in a way you’re happy with.

At laya life, we know the comfort that having a will brings to our members. That’s why we offer all of our members a complimentary will  with Law Online.
